Scholar and Researcher
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the academic arm of Islamic Leadership Institute of America, through contribution to the body of knowledge and content for our curriculum in line with the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh).
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies or equivalent
Experience in academic or community instruction roles, preferably in Islamic education.
Understanding of Islamic principles and a commitment to integrating them into academic programs.
Experience in offering religious services, educational programs, and youth development initiatives.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent ability to write and speak English fluently, Arabic, Urdu a plus
Strong organizational and planning skills
Self determined, reliable and independent with strong team collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of Islamic studies and curricula.
Creation and continuous improvement of academic curricula that integrate Islamic teachings with contemporary knowledge and skills.
Address Islamic legal and social issues unique to the American experience.
Engage with the interfaith community clearly and effectively.
Engage with religious leaders, educational institutions, and stakeholders to enhance the institute's influence and impact.
Develop academic contents and technical components of programs that cater to the religious, social, and educational needs of the youth in the community.
Participate and offer technical components at dawa campaigns, events, educational magazines, and programs that aim to engage the community and promote a better understanding of Islam.
Work hours:
16 hours per week.
